Book Review: Wentworth Hall by Ally Grahame

Ok so I really loved this book. There is just one little thing that I wish was different. Before I share my one nitpick about the book I will tell you a bit about it.

So I would compare this book to the Summerset Abbey Series (which I have reviewed on this blog) and Downton Abbey. Two things I love a lot. Like a tremendous amount, especially Downton Abbey, I get way too upset when a character dies on that show. Way more than any sane person should be upset over a television show. Ok enough about me, back to the book.

The book focuses on Maggie and Lila Darlington and their servants. It is set in 1912 and it is filled with intrigue, romance and drama. It did not take me long to finish this book. It is hard to put down once you start reading it! I really enjoyed it and without giving too much away I will say one more thing...there is a mix in the social classes...Scandal!

Ok so the one tiny, little, microscopic negative comment I have about this book is that it went by way too fast! I really wish Ms. Grahame made this into a series. She definitely could have dragged it out a bit more and while this is sometimes annoying I just wish there was more to read on these characters. So it is not really that negative. I would have wanted a bit more. I did not have enough time with these characters!

Happy Reading!
