I cannot really remember if this was the very first book I ever bought, but it is one of the first novels (not little children`s books) that I remember buying and reading so I am just going to guess that this is the first book I bought.
Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder
This was the book my Grade 3 teacher read to us in class and I ended up falling in love with all of the books in this series and the other generations.
