Monthly Blog Favourites: January

Hello everyone! Well the first month of 2015 has come and gone, and I personally think it was a pretty good month. I got to travel to Montreal, Quebec for the first time with some amazing people and also Canada got some snow finally, albeit maybe too much. I am now in my last semester of my undergraduate degree and the countdown has begun!

I would love to hear how your January went, so send me an email or comment below!

Here is what I read this month:

3 Must See Libraries | Manchester England by Bristol in My Pocket. I love libraries, and England seems like a great place to explore old libraries and stand in awe of old books, history and architecture (just a few of my favourite things).

The Myths of Wanderlust by Darling Magazine. While this is not a blog, I really enjoyed this article and I thought that I would share it with you. In addition to that, I really like the content on this website and what the magazine stands for. It is a US based magazine, which means an international (Canada) subscription is super expensive but I am contemplating it.

Sri Lanka From Above: Climbing Sigiriya by Adventurous Kate. This place looks amazing! I do not hear much about Sri Lanka but the view from this UNESCO site is breathtaking.

Europe's Best Countries for Travelling Solo by The Tourist of Life. I am always looking for new places to explore and since most of my travelling will probably be solo travel it is nice to know of the best places, where I can feel comfortable and welcome. I am happy Ireland is on the list because I have recently begun reading about Ireland and would like to go there soon.

The Best of Paris, via Instagram by C'est Christine. The post that made me realize I should try and take better Instagram pics. Christine's are amazing!

Plovdiv, Bulgaria: The Oldest City in Europe by Ever Changing Scenery. Adding this place to my ever growing list.

5 Unexpected Places to Watch the Waves by One Modern Couple. A new favourite blog of mine! I love the water and the ocean and seeing the waves crash against the shore. I find it very peaceful and calming, not quite sure why. Also the picture of Arizona is so cool!

In Search of Europe's Best Castles to Visit by World of Wanderlust. If you have been reading this blog for a bit, you probably know I have a thing for castles and so you can see why I was instantly drawn into this article.

10 Signs You Have Some Serious Wanderlust by The Tourist of Life. I was nodding in agreement to most of these.

I hope you all have a great February!

Happy Reading!
